Pipedrive API: deals, people and pipeline with AI agents

The Pipedrive API exposes nearly everything in the CRM: deals, contacts, organizations, activities, notes and pipelines. Sales teams and integrators use it to sync data and automate the pipeline. Access is through a personal API token or through OAuth for apps published on the Pipedrive marketplace.

What the Pipedrive API offers

Deals

People and organizations

Register and enrich contacts and companies.

Activities

Schedule calls, meetings and tasks linked to deals.

Notes and files

Record notes and attachments in the customer history.

How to access the Pipedrive API

  • With your company’s credentialsA user API token, generated in Pipedrive's personal settings, or OAuth 2.0 for registered apps.
  • A personal token inherits the user's permissions, so prefer an integration user.
  • There are request limits per plan, so use webhooks instead of repeated queries.
  • Avoid overwriting fields the rep has filled in without approval.

What an iTeam agent does with the Pipedrive API

Automatic meeting records

After the call, the agent saves the summary as a note, creates the next activity and moves the deal to the next stage, asking the rep to confirm.

Pipeline hygiene

Every Monday the agent flags deals with no future activity or stalled for too long and nudges the owner in Slack.

Lead intake from the website and WhatsApp

The agent qualifies the lead, creates the person, organization and deal, and schedules the first activity.

Weekly forecast

The agent adds up deals by stage and probability and sends the manager the forecast with the biggest risks.

From the credential to the agent at work, with approval

01

Generate the access

Use a token from an integration user or register an OAuth app, with permissions only on the pipelines you need.

02

Register it in the iTeam vault

Define per agent what it can do: the SDR creates leads and activities, and moving a deal to Won requires approval.

03

Test on a pilot pipeline

Start with one pipeline or team, with approval on stage changes and an audit of every call.

Questions

Questions about the Pipedrive API

Is the Pipedrive API free?

API use is included in Pipedrive plans, with request limits that vary by plan. No separate fee is published for ordinary calls, so check the limits of your plan.

Do I need to code to use the Pipedrive API with iTeam?

Not necessarily. iTeam's HTTP tool reads the API documentation and learns the endpoints, and the deployment team sets up credentials, permissions and tests with you.

Does the Pipedrive API have webhooks?

Yes. You can register webhooks that notify you when deals, people, activities and other objects are created or changed, and the agent reacts right away.
