Make API: what it can do and how to use it with AI agents
Make, formerly Integromat, is a visual automation platform. Its API lets you manage scenarios, look up executions and administer the organization, and scenarios can start from their own webhooks. Operations and marketing teams that have already automated processes and want to trigger them from other systems use it.
What the Make API offers
Scenarios
List, activate, deactivate and run scenarios.
Executions and logs
History and result of executions.
Webhooks
HTTP triggers that start scenarios with the data sent.
Connections
Manage the connections to apps used in scenarios.
Organizations and teams
Administer users and teams.
How to access the Make API
- With your company’s credentialsThe Make API uses an API token created in the user profile with the scopes you choose. Scenario webhooks can be protected by a key or an IP restriction.
- Each execution consumes operations from the plan: avoid repeated triggers.
- Unprotected webhooks can be triggered by anyone.
- Data that passes through scenarios remains subject to data-protection law such as GDPR.

What an iTeam agent does with the Make API
The right automation for each request
The agent understands the request in natural language and triggers the Make scenario that solves it, such as generating a contract or updating a spreadsheet.
Failed scenario reported
The agent looks up failed executions, summarizes the reason and tells whoever maintains the scenario.
Human decision mid-flow
The scenario calls iTeam when it needs approval, and the agent returns the owner's answer.
Operations usage
The agent tracks the plan's consumption and warns before the monthly limit is exceeded.
From the credential to the agent at work, with approval
Generate the token and list the webhooks
In Make, create the API token with the scopes you need and identify the webhooks of the scenarios you allow.
Store it in the iTeam vault
The token and URLs stay in the vault, and each agent triggers only the scenarios you indicate.
Test with fictional data
Run each scenario with test data and keep approval for the ones that move money or touch customers.
Ready-made AI teams for this work
Management reporting team
Revenue, margin, pipeline and cash in one report, built from your systems, with a short note on what changed and why.
Inventory planning team
Stock, sales and lead times are checked every day. You get a reorder list per SKU and a warning about what is not selling.
Procurement and quotes team
Requests go out to suppliers, quotes come back into one table, and the approver sees price, terms and past orders before saying yes.
Logistics and deliveries team
Routes, drivers and delivery status in one place, with customers told about delays before they have to ask.
Questions about the Make API
Is the Make API free?
The API is available on Make plans, but usage counts operations and some features depend on the plan. Check yours.
Do I need to code to use the Make API with iTeam?
Not necessarily. iTeam reads the documentation, and the deployment team connects the scenarios to the agents.
Is it worth using Make and iTeam together?
Yes. Make runs defined flows. The iTeam agent talks to people, decides which flow to use and asks for approval when needed.
