AI accounting: classification, account reconciliation and close
The accountant receives documents late and in no standard format, and spends the week classifying entries that repeat every month. Balance sheet reconciliation is left for later, and the auditor finds balances with no breakdown. Nobody has time for analysis, only for data entry.
Accounting with AI, step by step
Documents that arrive organized
The agent collects invoices, contracts and receipts from the departments, chases what is missing before the deadline and hands everything over identified to accounting.
Suggested classification
Based on history and the chart of accounts, the agent suggests the ledger account and cost center for each entry, and the accountant reviews only what is in doubt.
Account reconciliation
The agent builds up the balances for suppliers, customers, advances and recoverable taxes, flags old items and prepares the working paper.
A close that is tracked
The close checklist lives in a Pipe with owners and deadlines. The agent warns of delays and prepares the audit package with everything traceable.
Less repetitive work. More control.
- The accountant reviewing instead of typing
- Balance sheet balances with a breakdown always ready
- Documents from the departments on time
- Audits with evidence already organized
Systems used in this solution
Ready-made AI teams for this work
Bookkeeping team
Transactions are categorized as they come in, receipts are matched, and the month-end close starts with a short list of questions.
Bank reconciliation team
Bank lines, Stripe payouts and ledger entries are matched each morning. You only see what did not match, with a reason.
Accounts payable team
Invoices arrive by e-mail and in shared folders. The team reads them, checks them and lines them up for your approval before the due date.
Collections team
Before and after each due date, customers get a clear reminder with a payment link. Disputes and promises to pay go to your team.
Cash flow forecast team
Every week the projection is rebuilt from your books, open invoices and bills, with a plain note on what changed and why.
Questions about accounting with AI
Does AI replace the accountant?
No. It takes repetitive work out of the way. Technical responsibility and accounting decisions stay with the accountant.
Does it work for an accounting firm with many clients?
Yes. Each client of the firm has its own agents, permissions and documents, kept separate, and the firm follows the status of all of them in one place.
Does it integrate with our accounting system?
We integrate with ERPs such as TOTVS, SAP and Conta Azul, and with accounting systems such as Domínio Sistemas, by API or import files. Conta Azul and Domínio Sistemas are Brazilian.
What about confidentiality and data protection?
Each company's data is kept isolated, with permission-based access and an audit trail, in line with data-protection law such as Brazil's LGPD. Nothing is used to train third-party models.
